Where do I get started?

Postby Ctrspaz » Monday May 16th, 2011 9:59 pm MDT

Hello everybody!
Being that I've just made an account with this site, and don't know my way around most of the things everybody here is talking about, where should I start reading to begin understanding more advanced topics? Thanks a bunch!

The best place to start reading is Patriot Myth 22.
(Be sure you read through each element of the therein listed “Prerequisite Knowledge”)
It will help you gain knowledge of where we are today and how we got here.

Someone else asked a similar question here where there are responses that will be of benefit to you.

Given Team Law’s addition of the new Success Network forum and the changes currently happening on Team Law’s main website, those that are looking for their “First Step” might review those new resources as their first step.

You see, given the progress we have been making towards our support of the original jurisdiction elections this year we noticed that we need to take our service to the next level. After reviewing the past eighteen years of Team Law’s service (helping the people with their State elections and helping them learn how to learn the law), we noticed the primary driver people have been used to motivate their work has been their legal problems. However, that has also been the reason growth has been so slow—once the people resolve their presenting legal problems, they also seem to slow their studies of the law.

Tony Robins popularized the phrase: “Pleasure and pain are the two great motivators; … however, people will do for more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure.” Though that may be true for the instantaneous self-preservation fight or flight mechanism, it is not true as a motivation devise over the long haul.

Thus, when people come to Team Law because they have some impending legal problem, their motivation to learn the law is to avoid pain. Thus, once they learn how to learn the law they can go back to the business of more pleasurable pursuits. And, though most of them become quite proficient at the study of law, they don’t seem to be taking it to the next level by spreading the word to their friends and neighbors.

When we ask our beneficiaries about that they indicate that they are spreading the word; it’s just that people that are not so driven fail to catch the dream of the effect of learning and applying the law. Some of them even imagine that if they were to learn and apply the law bad things might happen to them.

We understand. When people have no real understanding of a matter it is hard for them to see its advantages and it is easy for them to let their imaginations run away with potential negatives—that result is magnified if there is something they would have to do different from what they are already doing.

Nonetheless, that is the key—imagination. As we look around our world today, listening to the people, the media and to what the people imagine is their government. Virtually everything we hear and see is negative or threatening! What’s more, when you look to the sources where people hear about the things happening in government and in the courts, that is not just negative but it is also filled with conspiracy theories, protestors and the like. Finally, though Team Law addresses many of those same topics (mostly to show debunk the mythology thereto related) the fact that we have addressed those topics can give onlookers new to our work with their imagination that we are amongst those theorists and protestors. Thus, we can get lumped with them when our message is nearly that exact opposite.

So, we then began focusing in on what the people are dreaming about; only to find that most of the people seem to be allowing their dreams to be directed by the media; instead of by their own heart’s righteous desires—no wonder we are seeing the changes taking place in our world today.

Finally, we took a look at our purpose in helping people learn how to learn the law as a primary remedy for our world’s state; and, though the people’s taking responsibility, learning and applying the law would save our world, their current focus on dreams filled with imagined doom and gloom would tend to destroy it before our hopes would get a chance.

Thus, we determined that we have to follow our own remedy and take responsibility for the changes necessary to saving our country and the world; and that means having caught the vision we have to bring the vision to the people. In other words, we have to change our focus to help the people learn how to dream again. The people have to catch the vision—and we have to take it to them in mass.

Therefore, we are recreating our website and we have added our Success Network to spread the word.

Because each and every one of us is driven by our thoughts; and, because our thoughts are driven by both our experiences and our dreams, the emotional focus we automatically place within our minds drives our future perceptions and our experience. And, finally, achieving the success in our righteous desires brings us ultimate pleasure. For example, no experience or success in this world can compare what the love and passion parents feel when they have the opportunity to watch their children succeed in life. That experience makes almost any sacrifice the parents made worth the price. And, no such success expands those feelings beyond what those grandparents feel when they watch their children, so succeeding in life, bring grandchildren into their lives. Words cannot express that feeling—ultimate success.

Thus, the ultimate motivator is righteous Success. Righteous Success makes the journey worth the price. And, righteous success is predicated upon natural laws; even, the same laws Team Law has been showing to people with our Standard for Review; as, the basis of all relationships. That is exactly why we are turning our focus at Team Law to helping people (you) discover what success is—what is success to you?

We are doing it because we know that to be successful you will have to catch the dream—your dream of our future. Thus, the first step is either check out our new home page or our new Success Network forum.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
