14th amendment and Corporation privileges

Postby Screaming Eagle » Friday October 10th, 2014 10:02 am MDT

I am a new participant here and very grateful for all the work each of you has put into this project.

I have been looking for information about the early challenges to the 14th amendment. My initial observation is that few of the challenges for the first 30 years are so were based on criteria commonly recognized as having to do with 'freedom' for people or 'equality' under the law. From the little I have been able to determine, most of the challenges were by corporations seeking special status that did not specify their length of 'service' as a corporation. I'm understanding that corporations had specific time limits for designated purposes and once those purposes were fulfilled and/or the time limit reached, that corporation no longer 'existed' as a legal entity.
Is there a summary of information about the first 30 years of challenges to the 14th amendment and the 'privileges' of giving corporations status as a 'person'? Thank you again for your service. I appreciate all suggestions for research. [ok]

Thank you for your inquiry and for your support.

Though the basic answer to your inquiry is: “No; we are aware of no such summary”, because we appreciate the fact that you are new here, it may help you if we point out that your inquiry had nothing to do either with Team Law or with any of the services we offer; respectively, please notice our Forum Rules; wherein, you will find Rule 3 provides the purpose for our Open Forum system, which is: “To eliminate e-mail to and from Team Law while providing a resource where people can learn about Team Law and our work to preserve our country.”

The idea is, if people can ask us their general questions (regarding Team Law and our services) in our Open Forum, others can read their posts, learn about Team Law and our work (to help people learn how to learn the law; so, they can learn how to apply the law) to preserve our country and thus eliminate the repetitious need for others to send us similar e-mails; thus, we can disseminate massive amounts of information without repeating ourselves much.

Respectively, your inquiry, having nothing to do with Team Law or our services would normally have been deleted (in accord with the rules) and you would have been delivered a private message explaining what happened.

However, in this case, we chose to use your inquiry to give you an example of how you might use our Standard for Review to find what you might be looking for; that is, understanding a ‘corporation’s status as a 'person'.’

Because we have repeatedly shown the process of going back to Creation to discover the nature of the parties involved we are going to here paraphrase that necessary portion of the Standard by simply acknowledging that all authority comes from God, through man to government, etc. Thus, we come to government and find that our government (the original jurisdiction Constitutional Republic) formed Corp. U.S. (see: District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871) and then (by 1974) the States had each formed corporate states through which they began to manage their affairs. Thus, as you pose your inquiry the source of corporations in America has always been either government or corporations formed by the government.

Having discovered the source of authority through which corporations are formed, we would then turn to the definition you are using for the word “person”. Though we are not going to entertain that review here, we will warn you to make sure that you follow The Cardinal Rule of Definitions and remember that dictionary definitions are not definitive—they are merely examples of potential usage of words as others have used them.

We would then turn to the court cases for a review of them and we know that they will basically acknowledge that the principles behind the constitutional preservation of rights of the people can be applied to corporations just as if they were citizens. Respectively, the courts sometimes in that regard consider corporations as citizens.

Still, that has nothing to do with Team Law other than to exemplify the fact that we can help you learn how to learn the law (from its source); os, you can learn to apply the law.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
