Land Patent Use

Postby Earthicastar » Sunday July 12th, 2009 8:48 am MDT

By using a land patent is one considered a 'person', and are they agreeing to a benefit from us corp by using a plat map?

Would longitude and latitude be a sufficient description of land if it could be determined exactly?

Thank you kindly.

:h: Earthicastar:
Your question indicates that you need to forget all of the Patriot Mythology you have learned and go back to far simpler resources:
  1. The simple facts;
  2. History; and,
  3. Actual law, as it is written.
We say that because you are evidently imagining the word “person” has some definitive meaning that does not include people.

That kind of idea is typically expressed by people that do not understand the difference between statutory definitions dictionary definitions and the meaning of words in their common usage.

Accordingly, we suggest you review the following topic: The Cardinal Rule of Definitions.

Then expand your understanding to include the many possible meanings of the word person. We say this because our Open Forum system is certainly not a statutory device and here the word “person” is not limited to some definition that only applies to a particular statute within its own context. Here, you are a “person”, just like every living man, woman or child is in the common usage of the word.

To further understand land patents, we suggest you read our Land 101 article.

Whatever language used on the land patent (et seq.) will be the correct language for a land description on Title documents; longitude and latitude will describe a point in space at the surface of the earth, but it will not describe a space; and though using several such points with respective vectors, one could describe an area of space correctly, such a description for land would likely cause significant difficulties when trying to relate the same to the land descriptions already used effectively on titles to land (land patents).

We hope this information is helpful to you.
