Original Jurisdiction Governors

Postby Dave Nelson » Friday June 17th, 2005 9:32 am MDT

I have been looking all over your website trying to find what I thought I had seen there before, a list of the States that have OJG (Original Jurisdiction Governors) in place and thier names and contact info. Is it possible to post that info again or direct me to where that information is located. Thank-You!!

Hello Dave,
You're right we used to have the national map on the Governor Corner page, in fact the code is still there for the map and we plan on returning it when the new dynamic site comes on line thus providing us with better tools for updating the graphic work necessary to keep the map updated on an annual basis.

Meanwhile, we have a work around for you that was reported in this forum in response to the topic “beneficiaries”, where magnum asked:
magnum7918 wrote:Can you provide me with a way to contact the original jurisdictional governor of Illinois?
To which we responded:
Admin wrote:Yes. The easiest way we are aware of to contact any of the original jurisdiction governors is to go to our website and right mouse click on the [Governor’s Corner] main menu link. A window should open and you may select the option [copy shortcut]. Then paste that shortcut into your browser’s web Address.

Code: Select all

Now edit only the “usmap” portion of the file name at the end of the address to whatever state name you want to get contact information for and if we have the governor’s information posted, you will get it. State file name protocol is as follows: State names are spelled in proper noun format with no spaces. Finally, press enter or select [Go]. That's it.

We hope this information is helpful to you. :thumbright:
